I gaze at my child wearily
She used to have an alluring smile
Now it has crumbled to a dark void
She used to dance and sing
Now her voice is tender
And her legs quiver
She use to wake me up in the morning
With an elated laugh
Now she remains and
Bemoans this distant life
When will her sorrow end?
When will prosperity start?
When will these lives ripe into peacefulness?
